Plain and short, because that's how we run.
To understand which pages are useful, Citizen Kane uses Google Analytics 4. It sets first-party cookies (_ga and _ga_<id>) and reports page views and clicks to Google. Google signals and ad personalization are turned off, and there are no ad pixels or session recordings. You can opt out with Google's browser add-on, and ad blockers or your browser's tracking protection are fine with us. We collect only the information you choose to submit (event details, business listings, newsletter email). We never sell your data.
What you submit lives in our database (hosted with Supabase in the United States) and, for newsletter emails, with our email delivery service — nowhere else. Want something you submitted corrected or deleted? Ask through the contact page and we'll take care of it.
